If you want to keep up with the latest news, then you should use an RSS reader. Thus, you will receive the latest news on a regular basis, strictly from subjects you are interested in and the best part is that you don't have to search for anything on your web browser. With RSSOwl, gathering and managing RSS feeds can be done in a comfortable and elegant fashion. The software's functionality is straightforward and it won't present any kind of difficulties.

Imported RSS feeds are listed on the left side of a user friendly interface and their titles and articles are displayed in the larger area on the right. You can organize feeds in folders and sub-folders, just like on a Finder window and you may also filter and sort their titles. What's more, the software allows you to create smart folders, which are populated automatically with titles that meet certain criteria, which you can select yourself. New feeds can be defined on a separate window, on which you have to paste its URL and select or create a destination folder. Alternatively, you may create a feed by typing keywords and selecting a search engine, on the same window.

The software provides separate options for updating individual feeds or everything at once. Selected titles can be marked as read or unread. Additionally, you can mark titles as sticky or send them to an archive, to make them easier to find. Like most RSS readers, RSSOwl displays a short description for each title, but you can bring up their entire articles, on your default web browser. Another useful feature is the possibility of sharing selected articles, via email or on Facebook, Twitter or other social networks.

Pros

It takes only a few clicks to import RSS feeds. You can organize them in folders and sub-folders and you can also create smart folders. A feed's articles can be filtered, sorted and shared on various social networks.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to address. Thanks to RSSOwl's straightforward and easy to understand functionality, you can read the latest news in a comfortable and convenient manner.
